USGBC New York Emerging Green Builders Career Fair

he First Annual USGBC-NY Emerging Green Builders Career Fair was a wonderful success!  On March 3rd, 2007, more than 250 students and dozens of building industry employers piled into the Center for Architecture for this illustrious event.  Many students and young professionals showed up early, eager to find opportunities and get more involved in the sustainable building industry.  There was a steady stream of recruits throughout the day, until the doors were finally closed at 3pm.  The robust attendance made it clear that a sustainably focused recruiting event was long overdue.  The Career Fair was sponsored by Silverstein Properties, Inc. and featured some of New York's best architecture, engineering, construction and real estate firms.  Thank you to the employers, recruits and all those who were involved in the organization of this event!  We are preparing for another EGB Career Fair in the Fall of 2007, so you can be sure that there will be many more to come.

The First Annual USGBC Emerging Green Builders NY Career Fair was born from a need to connect emerging green builders to esteemed companies in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. The event will predominantly feature companies from New York, focused on building design and construction.
